FQF - a little late!

I'm in a blog-posting mood. But nothing to blog about yet! So i'll do FQF (Five Question Friday), hosted by Keely at My Little Life. And, YES - i AM aware that it is SATURDAY. But i missed FQF yesterday & i say, better late than never! =)

So. Here we go.

1. Are you a Black Friday Shopper?
I haven't been in awhile on that day. If i happen to make plans for shopping that day, then it's fine & all. But if not, that's okay too. I remember going one year in particular & loving it - we had a great time. I LIKE shopping with crowds & Christmas music, all that excitement in the air! The ONLY thing i am AGAINST on Black Friday is getting up at 5 am (or worse!) to stand in line for some toy. Um, no. I really don't think i will do that even when i have kids! I just think there is no toy that my kid HAS TO HAVE. I don't know. Maybe i'll change my mind after i have kids. But i like my sleep. For example, i am a Twilight fan. I can't wait to see New Moon. But was i standing in line for a midnight showing Thursday night (Friday morning)? HECK NO! HA! I NEED & CHERISH my SLEEP! Haha! Same with Christmas Shopping. =)

2. What was your favorite childhood toy?
Oh, but there were so many!! A child of the 80's? What do YOU think?! Here were a few:

I LOVED My Little Ponies! I had a whole tin of them & loved to play with them!

POPPLES! Do remember these?!

Cabbage Patch Kids! (Gosh, now i got the theme song stuck in my head! HA!)

3. Favorite Christmas Movie
Yep. I'm a sucker for the old classics. My favorite is Miracle on 34th Street. The original one.

4. What is your "MUST HAVE" item on your Christmas List this year?
Well, i blogged my wish list awhile back, but none of them are "i must have this!" items, really. Just things i would like. I'd say the "must have" item would be the camera, but that is definitely something i'm going to have to save up for on my own! I would love some new pj's, like the one i mentioned in the wish list blog. Or the Emma bowls.

5. Do you go all out with decorations or do you keep it simple & classy?
Last year was my first Christmas to really decorate. The years before i was on my own & i always let my roommates do that! Last year we had JUST gotten married when it was time to start thinking about Christmas decor, so we really didn't do too much. I put up a wreath & our stockings & a tabletop tree. It's just a mini one & we put white lights on it & some tiny ornaments. I think it was simple & classy. It looked nice. We were planning to get a regular tree this year, but recently decided we'd put up the mini one again! I think we'll keep using the mini-tree until we have some kids!! =)

So there's all of my answers to the 5QF! =)

  1. Hey Girl,
You should totally start a Sticky Note Saturday Blog Hop!!!

I would love to help your hubby with his logo/business image! I am not well versed on websites, but I could definately give you some names of people to help with web design!

You are so sweet, and I am so glad our blogs have brought us back together!

  2. I'll let you know when we take the plunge on the business thing! Brad is kinda slow & cautious about it (while i'd like to start it tomorrow! HA!). SO i have to be patient & i know that it will happen in the right time! I want to tell you the name of his business but not sure if he'd like me blabbing it on my blog at this time! so i'll message you & tell you or something! But i know you'd come up with a great logo! :) SO excited! You are sweet too & i LOVE catching up with you on your blog!! And we should do lunch, i agree!

  3. I used to have all those toys too!

And I refuse to shop on Black Friday. I'd rather pay full price for something... or find it at next years garage sales. :)
