I have seen the "friend makin Monday" blog hop logo around (& i have to say - the logo is SO CUTE!) but haven't participated yet. I think i should start...now! :) And add your own name to the blog hop - check it out here!

1. Turkey or Ham?

Seriously?!? TURKEY!!!

2. Favorite side dish.

Oh gosh. Green Bean Casserole. Sweet Potato Casserole. My mama's stuffing. YUM.

3. Favorite dessert.

My mom always makes a fudge pie (which is more what i would call a brownie pie). It is FANTASTIC! But i just tried a Pumpkin Bar recipe this past weekend & it was OH SO YUMMY! I may have to make that again!!

4. Black Friday: Are you going or not?

Nope! I'll be out of town. But even if i wasn't...i doubt i'd go!

5. If so, what's on the top of your list?

Nothing.

6. Going out of town or staying close to home?

Going out of town. I'm so excited. We're going with my parents to visit my extended family in Grenada, Mississippi. It will be my dad's mom, brother & sister-in-law on his side of the family. On mom's side, i'll get to see her mom, her aunt & uncle, & her sister and family. Last year we did Thanksgiving & Christmas with Brad's family. I LOVE his family & will miss them this Thanksgiving (but we will be with them for Christmas). But i am so excited about going to visit my relatives because they need to get to know Brad better! They will love him! The last time i saw (most) of them was my wedding, but that didn't really count because it was too chaotic to really get to visit with anyone! So we are looking forward to this visit! (Plus a car trip with my parents & both dogs ought to be a hoot!) =)

7. Hosting or helping?

I love to help. I usually just make the Green Bean Casserole every year because they say i do it the best (WHATEVER - it is THE simplest recipe EVER!). This year i will help cook EVERYTHING if they let me, because i just realized how much i love to cook within the last year. I can't wait till the day we get to host!! I love having people over! We will start offering to do that when we have a house. Our trailer is a bit small for all of the family!!

8. Name one family tradition at Thanksgiving.

Er, hmm...no...don't think we have much of a tradition! Except to EAT & enjoy each other's company!! :P

9. What do you do after dinner?

Just hang out & visit. I haven't been to MS for awhile for Thanksgiving but i'm sure it will involve lots of laughing & visiting & i'm sure the men will have a football game on! Maybe some board games!

10. What are you most thankful for this year?

I am most thankful for Brad & my marriage to him. I love him SO much & am SO glad i get to spend everyday with him! I would say i don't know what i'd do without him - but i DO know what life would be like without him & it is so much better WITH him. Having someone as your #1 - & you as theirs - there's nothing like it! So i am thankful that our first year of marriage was as much of a joy as it was. =)
