i heart Saturdays

Today has been such a wonderful day! I love love love Saturdays. I usually don't make any plans unless it's a date that night with hubby. I like to be HOME relaxing. It's wonderful.

Today we slept late. We got home pretty late last night as is & took awhile before going to bed. So we slept in this morning. Late being about about 7:30 for him & 10:00 for me! HA. He usually gets up between 6 & 7 in the mornings if he has no work & i usually tell him to let me sleep till about 8:30. When he got up at 7:30, i didn't even hear him, i kept right on sleeping. It was a deep sleep, simply wonderful!

I spent some time online for awhile after getting up & Brad was watching a movie on Netflix. Then we decided to go for a walk. Beautiful day. Still chilly but the son is shining! Crazy to think it snowed yesterday! Brad was outside with Fievel waiting on me (yes, Fievel goes with us. Poor little short-legged shih-tzu. no, really, he actually doesn't slow us down but i figure eventually i'll start running & then he may not be able to keep up!)... anyway, i was ready & opened the door to join the hubby & the dog & the phone rang. I answered & it was my mother-in-law calling to see if we'd had lunch yet & if not, did we want to come have some Gumbo.

YES INDEED! I love Gumbo!!!!!

So we went on our walk & it felt GOOD. I have not been walking in SO long & i needed that! We are get back in the habit, too! After our walk i quickly made a grocery list & then we went to Brad's parents. Had gumbo (SO GOOD!) & visited awhile & then went to Walmart.

We got home & i took a long hot bath with a novel (one of my favorite things to do)!

It's a good day. And tomorrow is Valentine's Day - also our 15 month anniversary! =) We are going to eat at our favorite place, Mike Anderson's where we also got engaged. It's the best. And then we want to go see a movie. I know people don't like going out to eat on V-day because of the crowds, but last year wasn't bad at all. We like to go at 4 or 5 & if you do that you avoid a huge crowd & waiting time.

Happy Valentine's Day.
