Okay. I have mentioned before that i want to get either a Nikon-something or a Canon Rebel because i want to take better pictures & start taking them all.the.time. Right now i'm starting to take them a lot more often & I'm learning about editing. At first I hated editing. But now it is growing on me. I do it on all my pictures, playing around & starting to learn. My husband has been helpful - no, he knows nothing about taking pictures... but he does music production & he says it's funny how is music production programs are similar to picture editing ones! Crazy, huh?! So he's been able to figure some things out for me & help me out a bit.
Right now i have a point & shoot camera. It's a Kodak Easyshare C913. I am currently using Paint.net, which is a free program you can download. It's pretty cool & i have learned some stuff. But i have not learned a TON yet, because i have a small problem:
I'm not very patient.
So, yeah. Gonna have to work on that if i want to enter the word of taking & editing photos. For now i'm just learning. One day i may invest in Photoshop or Lightroom if i see that editing photos is something I will keep on doing. And i may get that nicer camera soon too!
Today i have 2 questions (& please no laughing if you can't believe how easy this is! I'm SOOOO incredibly new at this, it's painful!).
1. How do you get rid of shadows?
2. How do you - if it's even possible - get rid of the glare on someone's glasses?

I'm not so great at editing either. I know there is something you can do about the shadows but I don't know how to do it.
ReplyDeleteWhat you can do though is when you take the picture if you are in a shadow like that or bright sunlight that causes shadows on the face... use the fill flash. (Don't know if your camera has that option.) It helps even out shadows.
As for the glasses and the glare... I don't know if there is anything you can do in editing. :( I hate glasses in pictures because of the glare and it not allowing you to see the persons eyes. He could always take them off for the picture next time. :)
Let us know when you decide on what kind of camera to get! I want a camera that takes better pictures, but I can't figure out what kind would be best.
ReplyDeleteConcerning your questions, I have no answers haha I just point and shoot. The only thing I know about flash and glasses (since I have them) is that you can buy glasses that supposedly don't glare. Not sure it even works, but its an option? haha

I have an "Adobe Photoshop CS4 for Digital Photographers" book that has a very detailed tutorial for a way to try to room glare on glasses, but it look suuuuuper complicated, and it's definitely specific to CS4. So, I don't have any good suggestions for editing, but I can tell you that the anti-glare coating that you can get on glasses helps to prevent glare and reflections in pictures!
