Crockpot Chicken Barbecue

This recipe is from AllRecipes & they say it came from Cooking Light. I'm not sure if it's all that light, due to the high sodium, but other than that - it's not too bad! & it's DELICIOUS.

It's easy easy to make, too! It said it is so good over a baked potato, but i didn't have time for that tonight. Will try that next time. This time, we served it on a whole wheat bun. YUMMY! The taste will vary depending on what kind of BBQ Sauce you get. We got Honey BBQ & it was good. =)

6 frozen skinless boneless chicken breast halves
1 (12 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 T. Worcestershire sauce

1 - Place chicken (frozen) in a slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the barbecue sauce, Italian salad dressing, brown sugar & Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the chicken.

2. Cover & cook for 3-4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low.

  2. Oooh... that looks sooooo easy. I like easy. AND it's in the crockpot! Going to have to do this one. :) And I have never put frozen chicken in the crock. Usually I have to thaw it first. Huh.

  3. I make this ALL THE TIME when we have people over!!!!!! No joke, the exact same recipe. I modify it a little though. I slice an onion and put it in the crockpot too and add some garlic and garlic salt, not too much. I also serve it with a little bit of healthy coleslaw on top of the chicken in the bun. It is AMAZING with the cole slaw, seriously! Plus, cabbage counts as a veggie, whoo hoo! That is so funny, I totally cracked up when I saw you post this recipe. Great minds think alike!!!
