First, we met at Corks 'n' Canvas for some painting fun! Corks 'n' Canvas is fairly new here, and i'm constantly hearing of friends who have gone & who really enjoyed it. Basically you pick a painting to do & you all paint it. The employees teach you how to do it. Amanda picked a poppy pic & i was excited! My kitchen & den colors are red anyway & i have a giant poppy painting that my aunt did too! I was hoping to do a fabulous job - but I am not a good painter at ALL. I used to be able to draw well with pencil, but i haven't done it in ages. I can do great lettering. But that's about it! So yeah - my painting will not be hanging in our house! It was a lot of fun though!!
After that, we went to The Melting Pot for dessert! I'd never been to The Melting Pot, though it's been here for years & everyone loves it. It was nice! Romantic atmosphere. I think Brad will have to bring me one day. :) But it was very quiet & had great service. In case you've never been, it's a fondue restaurant. We did the chocolate... we had three things of chocolate to share - "turtle", "bananas foster" & one called "sex kitten", ha! Appropriate, i think... i mean it was a bachelorette party! The "sex kitten" one was just white chocolate with crumbled up oreos & i forget what else. I really stuck with the banana's foster & turtle. AMAZING! We had so much fun! We went around giving Amanda "bedroom advice" which somehow turned into "embarrassing honeymoon moments" & there was a LOT of laughter!
I can't wait to see Amanda get Married!!! :)
me & amanda :)
haha - i was nervous...
Candice & Becca
me & jenn
amanda & her bff, brandi
cherish & amanda being silly!
me & my painting - not great... i feel i should tell you that they're supposed to be poppies!
All of us! Crazy! So much fun though!!

We had a great time! Corks 'n' Canvas is such a cool place! & so is The Melting Pot!
What a fun idea for a bachelorette party!
ReplyDeleteYay!! I got a whole Mel blog post?! :) I had soo much fun. It meant so much to me that you could be there. I love you Mel. Thanks for the advice ;) I'm super excited about Saturday. You make me so excited to get married because of how happy you are all the time. Love you like a sister!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like yall had a blast! Great idea for a bachelorette party!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special way to celebrate and spend time with friends. I am so impressed by the paintings!! Beautiful! Amanda will be a beautiful bride. Hope her big day is very special!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a real fun time and I don't think your painting looks any worse than the others. It turned out waaaay better than I would have done. Me and art don't go together at all! Actually I cheated in college. I had to take an art class and I had to do a project that I knew I would totally suck at and the girl that lived across the hall from me just loved being artsy so she did it for me and I passed hahaha.
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to say that your blog is so fabulous! LOVES it!
