Fill in the Blanks: Birthdays!

I heart Birthdays. It doesn't matter if it's my birthday or yours. I just love them. :)
And today's theme at Fill-in-the-Blank Friday is BIRTHDAYS! Because yesterday was Lauren's birthday.

HAPPY  BIRTHDAY, LAUREN!

And, here we go. (If you want to play, answer these questions in your own blog & then head on over to Lauren's & add your link to the blog hop!)

1. Birthdays are...
one of my favorite things. It doesn't matter whose birthday it is. I love mine & i love celebrating the birthday of those i love. It's a day to celebrate your life thus far! :)

2. My favorite birthday memory was...
When i turned 22. I invited 15 of my closest friends to my parent's house & my mom cooked a delicious home-cooked meal for all of us - i know there was fried fish & potatoes of some sort & her delicious green bean almondine. Everyone that i invited showed up & my family was there too.  i felt very loved & special.

3. A birthday tradition I (or my family) has is...
a birthday dinner with just the family. We cook whatever is requested by the birthday girl or guy & just have a good evening together. Brad's family does this, too.

4. If i had to choose one birthday meal to eat for the rest of my birthdays henceforth, i would choose...
Mom's pot roast, mashed potatoes & gravy. Green bean almondine. And crusty bread. And either cheesecake or chocolate chip cookie cake. It's okay, it's just one day a year!

5. My birthday is on...
March 2nd. Same day as Dr. Seuss, which makes me happy.

6. If i could take a birthday trip, i would go to...
I've really wanted to visit Savannah, Georgia for awhile now. It just seems like a charming little place. I think that would be a fun little birthday trip to go on with Brad. :)

7. The best gift i've ever received for my birthday was...
eek - i don't remember - i did spend one birthday at the Animal Kingdom in Disney, though. We didn't go FOR my birthday - i was there with a good friend whose kids i nannied - but it was pretty cool! :)

  1. Hi Melissa,
Thanks so much for leaving a note on my blog. :) I'm really enjoying getting into blogging at the moment- it's a great way for me to keep things in perspective and to focus on the positive.
We've got a few things in common- newishly married (but both happily!), lovers of Jesus and we both get to choose dinner on our birthday! :)
I look forward to watching what happens in your life.
    Beck :)
