Christmas Day 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas Day! We spent it at Brad's Uncle David & Aunt KK's (aka, my dream home) with Brad's family, his dad's brother & sisters & all their children & grandchildren! A wonderful time was had by all...& we're now home relaxing. It is only 7 pm, but i am pretty sure i'll be sound asleep by 8! I am sooo tired! We slept late this morning - the result of staying up till 2 am last night - which was what happened after taking a 2 & a half hour nap yesterday afternoon! Crazy schedules these days. =)

This morning when we {finally} got up around 9, Brad put on the coffee & i made orange danishes - Brad has been requesting those forever! They are just the store bought pillsbury kind & are so good! Mmmm!

I didn't actually buy Fievel a Christmas gift, but we have had a duck toy hidden for awhile now (we like to give him one toy at a time...), so i gave that to him & told him Merry Christmas. He was so surprised & loved his new toy! Haha.

Brad & I exchanged gifts. He gave me MONEY towards that camera! Woohoo! And i already have the money for the camera, so i might just get to get something else. I need a pedi & a purse so bad!! Haha. So we'll see! =) He also got me a new Bible but it's not in yet. He tried so hard to get me one in town so i could have it for today, but just couldn't find the one i wanted (which wasn't anything abnormal...just a small navy NIV...& i would have settled for black or burgandy... or a solid cute color... but everything looked like it was for a teenager! Funny, when i was a teen, i complained that Bibles only came in boring colors...now i can't find one in "boring colors" to save my life!). ANYWAY, he ended up having to order it & it's not in yet. I am excited. I didn't realize how long i have had my Bible. I got it January 1, 1998 (Random Fact: Brad broke up with me January 4, 1998!). So i'll get my new Bible soon & I can't wait!

I made homemade snickerdoodles which are simple to make & SO good. There was TONS of good food today & i am SO FULL. But man, it was yummy!! =) We had a great time hanging out with all of Brad's relatives. Love them! Sadly i only took 4 pictures. I don't know what is up with that! I usually am snapping away!

 Maddie & Shelly

 Cousins Trafton & Harrison

 Cousins Hollyn & Colton

Cousins Brad & Whitney! =) (She got a keyboard for Christmas & is going to take lessons from Brad. He's showing her some stuff she can do with software, too.)

I got SO tired. I curled up in one of their recliners & Aunt KK brought me a cozy blanket. I love that house. LOVE. It is gorgeous inside & out. The decor is all right up my alley. And it's COZY. You just want to curl up by the fire & watch the gorgeous Christmas tree (which is what i did a lot of the time!).

Tomorrow is church. And tomorrow night Brad's parents are coming over to watch one of the movies i netflixed (A Christmas Story or Elf). Still haven't had a chance to watch them!

Hope you had a lovely Christmas!

  1. Merry Christmas girlie! If you have some extra money, you should think about buying this lens too - http://www.amazon.com/Canon-50mm-1-8-Camera-Lens/dp/B00007E7JU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1293332616&sr=8-1. It lets you have a really wide open aperture, which gives you photos where the main subject is in focus and the background is completely blurry. The lens you'll buy your camera with will let you do that, too, but it's super extreme with that little lens.
