If you are a new follower you may not yet know about my obsession with the egrets. Brad & I started walking the lakes about a year ago & i have fallen in love with those birds! They are beautiful to me & unique. I hated not being able to get close-ups with my point & shoot back then, but i got a dslr for Christmas & have been snapping like crazy ever since! The LSU lakes is a great spot to practice my new camera. I have no idea what i am doing, but i'll get there :)
Today i tried harder... i feel like i got much better shots than last time. And i was a bit more patient with editing (many of these are SOOC, though, i didn't want to mess with them!).
Today after work i stopped at the lakes just to take some shots of some pigeons, trees, lakes, & of course...my favorite...the egrets.

if I am ever in Baton Rouge again (which I am sure I will be), I am inviting you to my parents house. They live near a pond on a golf course and seriously have a bajillion egrets and cow birds (I think that's what they are called). At sunset it's absolutely gorgeous.
