Oooh, fun mail!

Wednesday was a good mail day.

This is the Amazon order I'd been waiting on. It came in on Wednesday, same day that two of my magazines came in - Real Simple & Family Circle. Yay!

1. Pioneer Woman cookbook!
I am so excited i finally got it. I read through the entire thing, start to finish. Well, okay, i skimmed some of the recipes, but she has all these stories about her family, about her kids, about how she met Malboro Man & i just love it . I'm kind of late to the Pioneer Woman party but now i see why everyone loves her so much. She is just so darn likeable with an interesting & wonderful love story (no wonder they're making a movie!). Anyway, i can't wait to try some of her recipes!

2. A Woman After God's Own Heart
Because i'm participating in a Bloggie Bible Study & this is the book we'll be going though together. Rebekah & a bloggie friend of hers are leading it & will put questions from the study guide up each week, and we will all answer those questions/talk about the book in our own blogs & then link up! If you want to join us, please do!! It's not starting till February 2nd, so you still have time to get the book!

3. The Blind Side
It was only 5.99 on Amazon, so i grabbed it. Have you seen this movie? If not, you need to. Today. I LOVE this movie. The message is inspiring, the acting is superb, it will make you laugh & cry! Love it.

4. The new Sara Barreillis cd: Kaleidescope Heart
I LOVE her music. Girl can SING. I am a sucker for brilliant lyrics, piano & a gorgeous voice & that is what you get with Sara. I am so glad i got her new cd, it does not disappoint! She stayed true to herself & wrote more amazing lyrics. LOVE!

Plus the 2 magazines, what an awesome mail day!

It's been a good week. I'm doing so good on my health journey this year, it's fantastic. MUST stick with it! This week i did my fitness class (strength training) 3 days, walked the lakes with Brad 2 days & have eaten well all week long. I am 3 pounds down from last week & am feeling great! Here are a few pics from walking the lakes on Thursday! It's just so beautiful there, i can't help but take a few! :)

This morning i did NOT want to get up & go to class, but i did & i feel great. I came home & made me & Brad an omelet, it was delicious!

About to go meet my mom & my sister for lunch & then to do a little wedding shopping (she gets married November 12, 2011!). Fun day & i miss them.

Hope your weekend is lovely.

  1. I am too scared to buy the Pioneer Woman cookbook....I think I would feel guitly cooking pretty much anything out of there. :) Maybe every once in awhile though....I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through you. :)

Hope you're having a good weekend friend!!

  2. Yay for happy mail!

I have recently jumped on the PW bandwagon too! :) I didn't even know she had a cookbook. I might have to get that one. I'd love to read more about her. Although I think she has a book coming out soon too?

Hope you enjoyed your time with your mom and sister!

  3. Wow, that is a great mail day!! I LOVE PW! She's awesome. I have her cookbook, but I can't cook but maybe a couple meals a week from it. They are so good, but not good for you. :)

  6. I love getting mail! and this all looks great!

Have you made chicken pot pie from the PW receipe book? It's probably my fav entertaining dish. Really easy but super delicious!
