Five Question Friday

Oh, man. What a week. And what a DAY! CRAZY. But i'm home now & it's Friday. Life is good. :)

Time for 5QF. You know you love it. Or maybe not & that's okay. I don't know why i love these silly things so much! :)

1. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
My size! I want to be smaller! I'm working on it. :)

2. Write about a time when you got lost.
I'm guessing i was 3 or 4 and i was in the mall with my mom. We were upstairs in a department store. I remember running around frantically & screaming. A nice sales lady found me & sat me on the counter & called my mom over the intercom. Mom came & gave me a big hug. She was so worried. Haha.

Another time also comes to mind. My first semester in college i actually went to Southeastern in Hammond, which is about 45 minutes away. It was my first day of classes & my first time to drive it by myself. I was on my way home & ...well, i kept driving & driving & just when i realized it was taking longer than 45 minutes... i saw a huge sign. Just like this one:

My dad laughed so hard when i called & told him i was in Mississippi! HAHAHA! And i was SO MAD! I went the WRONG WAY to go home! So now i had an hour drive to get back to SLU & then another 45 minutes to get home! AHHHHHH! Will never forget that!

3. Camping or 5-star hotel?
5-star hotel. Yep. That would definitely be my pick!

However, i have only been camping once & i didn't hate it. I'd love to do it again!

(I went on MANY youth retreats as a counselor...but we stayed in cabins 2 years & in condo-like rooms the years after that. It was hardly camping!)

4. Have you donated blood?
Once. About 3 years ago now.
That was also the only time i ever fainted.
It was a horrible feeling. Crazy. I felt like everything was closing in on me. I described it to someone & they said that was an anxiety attack (right before i passed out). I'm not sure if that's true, but it's safe to say i will never donate blood again! :(

My dad is like the champion blood donator. He has a zillion t-shirts to prove it.

I tried to follow in your footsteps, dad. I really did. {SIGH!}

5.  Do you have a budget or do you fly by most months?
I have a budget. It does not at all come naturally to me, but thankfully it comes very naturally to my husband! Yes, thankfully. Because man.... i got myself in such a bind when i was on my own...spending all i had, then not having anything leftover for bills. Yeah, it was kind of backwards. It's so much better now. There could still be improvements made, though! But HUGE change in me regarding the way i handle money!

HAPPY FRIDAY! :)

  1. I am so directionally challenged. I'll never forget being in high school driving to soccer practice, and only noticing I was lost when I was in a new city. At least now with gps on my phone I can hopefully avoid being lost.

  2. Haha girl, I am the QUEEN of getting lost! My family says I could get lost in my closet. :) I don't see how people can go forever without a budget. I need it to tell me how much I can spend! I've never donated blood because I'm terrified of needles, but I really want to sometime. I'm going to make Dylan go with me, because he goes every chance he gets!
