Wee Bit Wednesday.

1. What is your dream job?
Stay-At-Home-Mom who has a part-time acting career.

2. How many best friends do you have?
Well, Brad is my #1, of course. But I have way too many girlfriends. I mean this as a good thing! I'm constantly categorizing them: theatre besties, bloggie BFF, bootcamp bff, etc! Ha! But the one friend who has been there with me through everything? Sarah. We met in 5th grade & have been close ever since. Even if we don't get to hang out as much as we'd like to...when we do, we always pick up right where we left off (& talk for HOURS, i might add!). She's moved away a couple times in the years that I've known her, but we've always remained close. We have tons of great memories. She is a lifelong friend, no doubt about it!

{LOVE YOU, SARAH, if you're reading!}

3. What's the longest road trip you've ever taken?
I went to Urbana, Illinois...twice....from Baton Rouge, LA. That was long.

4. If you had to do one single thing everyday for the next year, what would it be?
Well, I'd love to be on vacation every single day next year. Is that okay?

5. What's one story your family always tells about you?
Mama likes to tell about how, when i was a baby, she never knew if i was awake or not. She'd finally have to come peek in my room, thinking i'd sleep forever. But she'd find me either quietly playing or laying on my belly with my hiney in the air & my thumb in my mouth. I'd look at her & start grinning.

My sister, on the other hand, stood up in her crib at the crack of dawn & made it roll over the hardwood floors while yelling happily, "Mama? Mama! Mama? Mama!" Hahahaha. Figures!!

6. How did your parents pick your name?
Melissa is just a name they liked, I think. They were also considering Rebecca.

But Raye, my middle name, is after my great grandmother RAY (who died of cancer before i was born) & my mom's teen best friend RAE (who was killed by a drunk driver when they were 15). The combination RAYE is my middle name. :)

7. What's one thing that scares you more than anything?
The thought of losing Brad or any close family member or friend.

8. Are you a good cook?
I think so! Not a "great" one, but I'm still fairly new at it. I love it. Brad loves it, too.

9. Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
Oh, good grief. I'll be 53!!!! 53. Woah. I'll have some teenagers at that age. And still be madly in love with Brad. :)

10. What's your best childhood memory?
Fun times on family vacations & at "holiday acres", a nearby pool. Lots of fun times playing in the woods behind our house, too. :)

  2. It's too late for me to post this so I'll answer them here! And we have some of the same answers!

    1. What is your dream job?
I'm not really sure. I've been trying to figure this out and figure out what my true passion is. A SAHM with a little something to keep me busy too sounds like fun. Too bad we'd never be able to afford that! :)

    2. How many best friends do you have?
Craig would be considered my best friend. Another good friend, I guess I can't call her "best" because we aren't really that close anymore and our friendship has always been about her. And some bloggy friends.

    3. What's the longest road trip you've ever taken?
From WV to FL - 18+ hours.

    4. If you had to do one single thing everyday for the next year, what would it be?
I'd love to be happy EVERY single day!

    5. What's one story your family always tells about you?
My dad likes to remind me often about how I was in a hotdog with cheese phase at like 14 and I told him I could eat that every single day. So now, when I can't think what I'm hungry for or don't know what to make for dinner, he quickly chimes in "I thought you could eat hotdogs with cheese everyday!" Eye roll. lol

My mom well tell various ones. One being when I was 3-4 and my brother was still just a baby I'd go in his room and do exactly what she did to him.. only much much more. Lotion and powder. lol She went in his room one day and found her baby boy in a diaper and head to toe lotion and powder. She said he was so white all she could see were his little eyes blinking. lol Kids... :)

    6. How did your parents pick your name?
    They just liked it.

    7. What's one thing that scares you more than anything?
Losing someone close to me and dying.

    8. Are you a good cook?
    Yeah, I'm not bad.

    9. Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
45 with hopefully a child just going in to college and another one or two in high school. :) All well behaved of course! And hopefully one good looking mama. haha.

    10. What's your best childhood memory?
I don't have a single best. I had a very good childhood. Nearly all my memories are happy ones.
