A great week!

Well, it's been a really great week! 

We were off on Memorial Day & didn't do too much. Just relaxed & spent time together at home. I did get out to have lunch with two of my oldest & best friends, Sarah & Shana. I have missed them! We had a delicious lunch together at Sammy's and promised to get together again soon! 

On the way home, I stopped and got Brad his very favorite ice cream, Mint Chocolate Chip from Baskin Robbins. He was a happy camper! 

Brad's mom invited us over for dinner, where we enjoyed spaghetti made by his sister. We spent time together, laughing and talking, which was much needed! I felt like I hadn't seen them in forever! It was a great day off.

On Tuesday, we went to our new pastor's house for dessert & coffee. We just started going there, and Pastor Jeff invited us over along with 3 other new members (a single guy & an older married couple). Pastor Jeff's wife and son were there, along with the church's worship pastor and his wife, Billy & Mandy. We had a really great time. We talked & talked & joked around some, too. I am so glad we went. We could have stayed longer, honestly!

On Wednesday, I got a haircut & eyebrow wax at work. i was long overdue! I just got a trim, but it felt so much better! It's nice to work somewhere where i get a great discount on haircuts! The student who did my hair did a great job! :) 

After work, I stopped at Fresh Pickin's, the produce stand near my work. LOVE IT! Got several things for just over 6 bucks! Yes!!

We also had orientation for our new students on Wednesday & Thursday. I have to do a session on Wednesday for an hour, just telling them about the attendance rules and about their GPA. Fun stuff (ha!). But they love me on Thursday, because i give them their "kits" - the many many supplies they get for their year at cosmetology school. At the very end, i have to have them do a survey, where they rate each presenter. The "cute" & "patience" comments are for me! Haha! I have to laugh... i am not really the type of person you would call PATIENT! ;)

Friday was my coworker Jamie's last day at work. Y'all. I will miss this girl SO much! She is what we call the cheerleader of Aveda, and she is always happy & encouraging. She prayed for me at work one day... and it meant a lot to me! She is also FULL of energy. More energy than a child. I kid you not! She is having a baby boy & is due in just a couple of weeks! So yesterday was her last day, and she gets to be a stay-at-home mom! So happy for her & can't wait to meet that baby!

Jamie is the pregnant one, obviously! Ha! Courtney & Darren work with her as part of our wonderful guest care team. :)

Friday i met my dear friend Tonya after work. We had dinner at Cheesecake Bistro, and then she tagged along while i went shopping. I had to buy two wedding shower gifts... both girls were registered at Potterybarn, which was the closest to where we had dinner. Can you believe... I asked Brad about how much i could spent to stick to our budget. He said to try to spend no more than $20 on each of them. Can you believe, i spent exactly $40.86. TOGETHER. Including Tax! In POTTERYBARN!?!?! And i got good stuff, too! I am excited! 

So that's about it! Got a lot going on this weekend...showers & the annual beaux arts ball at the theater! Yay! Pictures to come!! And pics with my nice camera, not my phone! Haha!
